Huge congratulations to Patricia Brooks for finishing 3rd at the Oceania Cycling Confederation Pacific Cup MTB Championships in Brisbane, securing Sāmoa’s third Pacific Cup medal (2024–2026) and marking her second Pacific Cup podium finish.
Our outstanding representatives Maria Brooks and Patricia Brooks proudly wore the Sāmoa colours and are pictured here with the other Oceania G4 riders. This is the second time Maria and Patricia have represented Sāmoa at the Pacific Cup MTB Championships, continuing to build valuable international racing experience.
Patricia now holds two Pacific Cup MTB Championship medals — Silver in 2024 and Bronze in 2026 — a fantastic achievement for Sāmoa cycling.

On the brightest day of the week, the Pacific Cup riders lined up for the Individual Time Trial through the rolling countryside of rural Cambridge.
Jett Curteis produced the top result among the Sāmoan riders, finishing seventh in the men’s time trial, while Vicky Cairns claimed eighth in the women’s field.

The Cycling Federation of Sāmoa (Sāmoa Cycling) was established in 2018 and became a member of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) the following year, officially joining the global cycling community at the 2019 UCI Congress in Harrogate, UK.
The Federation was born out of the success of the Tour of Sāmoa, founded in 2014 by Seti Afoa, whose vision created a platform for local and international riders to compete in the islands.
Seti served as the Federation’s first President from its inception until November 2024, when he transitioned to the role of Secretary. At the same time, Fiu Tagaloa Ima Iosefa was appointed as President-elect, marking the next chapter in Sāmoa Cycling’s journey.
